There’s something special about the Kenyan countryside—the fresh air, the open skies, and the warmth of communities that welcome you with open arms. Recently, the Uncle Joe’s Foundation team made their way to the scenic Naivasha countryside for a cookout that brought together children and families for a day of good food, great company, and genuine connection. Nestled away from the hustle of city life, this outreach was a reminder that every community, no matter how remote, deserves to feel seen, loved, and supported.
Our volunteers got to work early, preparing a hearty meal that filled the Naivasha air with mouthwatering aromas.

The children gathered in eager anticipation, and soon enough, plates were piled high with delicious food—filling staples, fresh vegetables, and sweet treats that brought smiles all around.

Laughter echoed across the fields as the kids enjoyed their meals, played games, and spent time with our team. It was a simple yet profound experience: a shared meal that turned ordinary moments into lasting memories.
As the day wound down, we left Naivasha with full hearts and a deeper appreciation for the beauty of community. The countryside may be quiet, but its people have voices that deserve to be heard and hearts that deserve to be filled. A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who made this possible, and to the Naivasha community for hosting us with such warmth. We can’t wait to return.Because every child matters. Every community counts.
